Miyajima here we come!

By bullet train of course! :0) Kyla was so excited to ride the Shinkansen again - who are we kidding...taro and I were too! I wish the U.S. had good transportation like this! We could travel so much easier and faster too!
A deer greeted Taro right off the ferry we took. I guess he was sniffing around for food, but all Taro had was an iPhone! Hah! There's deer everywhere here too (just like Nara). Beautiful and sweet. They're so relaxed so it makes you think they got this all figured out...island life, right?!
Upon arrival at our ryokan (traditional Japanese hotel), we were all given yukatas (summer robes) to wear in and around town. Kyla is sporting hers here :0) Can you tell how excited she is?! As they say here, "Kawaii" which means super cute!
And of course the famous torii gate lit up at night! We took a nice stroll after dinner along the water. Who could beat a view like this?! They say in low tide you can walk up to it! We'll have to do it tomorrow. It may not look like it, but the gate is massive! We finished off the night with a traditional Japanese hot spring bath called an onsen. So relaxing! I could get used to this! Can't wait for more adventures tomorrow!
