Here's my miso-lovin' girl again at breakfast! She's a pro already - two handed and everything! ;0)
Took the cable car to the very top of Mt. Misen, but unfortunately, it was cloudy and we didn't see any monkeys either :0( Boo. Oh well, it was still a spectacular view!
The island of Miyajima is known for their oysters. These we're broiled on the grill in sea water. The man who made them specifically came over and told us, "No sauce! Eat plain." They were delicious! And the original Miyajima beer hit the spot too on such a hot day!
After lunch, we hit low tide at the torii gate. I know the picture I took last night didn't show it's grandiose size, but this for sure does! You can see how massive it is! So obviously during low tide, you can walk right through it...so we did! Amazing!
Kyla's first trip to an aquarium ever was today in Miyajima! How special! They had Nemos, Dories and Gills - oh my! Kyla was beyond ecstatic! Not to mention, Beluga whales, turtles and sea lions too! Plus a nice break for a few hours in cool air conditioning! Yay!
